Traffic and transport

East Jutland has a well-developed infrastructure, with good conditions for cars, bicycles and commuters.

Road network

East Jutland is connected to the rest of Denmark by a good road network, including, for example, the E45 motorway which runs all the way from Skagen in northern Jutland to Messina in Italy, and the new Djursland motorway, which links Djurs with the rest of East Jutland.

Bicycle paths and routes

In addition to the road network, there are also good conditions for cyclists. There are bicycle paths along many heavily trafficked roads, and bicycle routes that take you through some of the best countryside in East Jutland. In some places, city bikes can be used free of charge, although you need a DKK 20 coin to unlock the bike.

Public transport

Public transport includes both city and regional buses as well as trains that efficiently convey you from A to B. There are also other ways of getting to and from East Jutland by air and sea.
